Keith Combs of Del Rio, Texas dominated the field at the PAA event on Lake Tawakoni this week finishing with 15 bass weighing 60.48 lbs setting a new PAA series record. Here’s how it went down, Keith told us he didn’t catch a lot of fish, but the ones he caught were the right ones. Key lures were a prototype Lateral Perch by Power Tackle, a lead headed bait he could skip easily. The other was a 3/8 oz Oldhams jig (black/blue) with a Zoom Jr. chunk. Combs said he caught most of his fish off of docks but had 5 that were the best, with deep water near by and a ton of brush. He also had big fish of the event, a 9.23, that came on the jig.
