After catching several fish, a spinnerbait or buzzbait will need to be straightened to the original shape. The Pro tip below will help keep the R bend in the correct shape and keep line in place, plus, extend the life of a bait.
To make a Spinnerbait or Buzz bait last longer, you can take a small piece of clear tubing and cut a 1/16 inch long and place it over the R bend. This will keep the R bend shape and the line in place. The tubing that comes with Gamakatsu trailer hooks will work or other small tubing. This will last a few fish, when you re-tie, replace tubing if it looks worn.
