October 19, 2008 Tournament RESULTS!!!
When asked about the early morning rise and the cool temperatures for morning take off, Trip Womack, winner of the younger age bracket replied “I’d rather been here than home in my bed”. Despite the cool temperatures early, no one could have ordered a nicer day for a youth bass tournament.
There were nine anglers participating in the Sunday event on Buggs Island (Kerr) Lake at Longwood boat landing. Generally the fishing has been tough lately but our young anglers were diligent and ultimately caught fish on Carolina rigged soft plastics early in the day and weightless Senko’s in the afternoon.
Results for the two age brackets are as listed.

First Place with a four fish limit weighing 5.38 lbs – Trip Womack.
Second Place with a four fish limit weighing 4.28 lbs – Zachary Francis.
Third Place with a one fish weighing 1.10 lbs – Petey Dickerson.
Fourth place was tied by Dillon Haislip and Kyle Hendrickson with a number of fish each, but none measuring the legal length to bring to the scales.
