Legendary Wide Receiver and Lifelong Angler to Serve as Ambassador of World Bass Fishing Championship Featuring Record-Setting $3.25 Million Purse
World Bass Enterprises Named Presenting Partner of New Bass Fishing Series “Chasing 10 with Randy Moss”

NASHVILLE, May 4, 2026 – World Bass Enterprises (WBE) today announced that NFL Hall of Fame wide receiver Randy Moss will serve as the ambassador of its inaugural “The Champions” tournament – an elite world bass fishing championship featuring a record-setting purse of $3.25 million, the largest in the sport’s professional history.
“The Champions,” which will be held outside of Nashville on Old Hickory Lake at Sanders Ferry Park in Hendersonville, Tenn., from Oct. 28 – Nov. 1, will feature a field of 50 anglers comprised of the top 25 anglers from the biggest bass fishing organizations in the world, including Major League Fishing’s Bass Pro Tour.
An avid angler and lifelong bass fisherman, Moss will team up with WBE ahead of “The Champions” to raise the profile of the sport of bass fishing and amplify an event that will include a $1.25 million payout to the winning angler – the biggest monetary prize ever awarded to a winner of a professional bass fishing tournament.
Additionally, WBE will serve as the presenting partner of Moss’ new bass fishing series “Chasing 10 with Randy Moss,” which will debut on YouTube in the coming weeks. A Big 84 production led by producer Andrew Grein, the new show will chronicle Moss’ lifelong love of bass fishing as he travels the U.S. with special guests across the sports world chasing one legendary milestone – a 10-pound largemouth bass.
The first episode of “Chasing 10 with Randy Moss” will feature his former Minnesota Vikings teammates Cris Carter and Jake Reed, along with WBE Founder and CEO Brian Bird. Additional guests throughout the season will include former Vikings quarterback Daunte Culpepper, as well as actors, comedians, celebrity chefs, musicians and more.
“Bass fishing has always been a big part of my life and fuels my competitive fire in retirement,” said Moss. “I get the same rush reeling in a bass, as I did finding the end zone. As I launch Chasing 10 and spend more time on the water, partnering with WBE was an easy choice. From day one, I’ve been impressed by Brian’s leadership and vision, and I can’t wait for “The Champions” tournament this fall in Nashville.”
“Randy Moss is synonymous with ‘a catch,’ whether on the football field or on the water,” said Bird. “Our partnership with Randy across “The Champions” and his new bass fishing series is a natural fit as we both share a lifelong passion for fishing and a vision to take bass fishing mainstream, showcase the world’s best anglers, and welcome new fans.”
One of the NFL’s all-time great wide receivers, Moss was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2018 following a standout 14-year career which included six Pro Bowl appearances
and four All-Pro honors. Moss ranks second all-time in NFL touchdown catches (156), trailing only Hall of Fame wide receiver Jerry Rice (197), and set the single-season record for receiving touchdowns as a member of the New England Patriots in 2007 (23).
“The Champions” is a family-friendly five-day event, with three days of competition, that will include a fireworks show, a flyover, interactive games, fishing activities for all ages, food and beverage vendors, and multiple musical acts including a to-be-named Friday night headline musical act.
Along with an expo featuring 150,000 square feet of booths from top brands across fishing, hunting, and outdoor sports, WBE will hold a pro-am competition on Sunday, Nov. 1 on Old Hickory Lake which will see the top 15 anglers from “The Champions” tournament fishing alongside legendary anglers, celebrities and more.
Additional details on “The Champions” tournament including ticket sales, broadcast information, and more, will be announced at a later date. For more information fans can visit worldbassenterprises.com.
