NPFL Application Process Open Through Friday, October 17!

WILKESVILLE, Ohio—The National Professional Fishing League is now accepting applications for the 2026 season. Anglers who wish to be part of the field must complete the application by midnight on Friday, October 17.

“We had a breakthrough year in 2025,” said league president Brad Fuller, “and we’re going to be even better and stronger in 2026. The number of talented anglers who have shown interest in the league has been flattering and inspiring, and our schedule has been crafted to keep our momentum going."

The 2026 regular season features six tournaments from Florida to New York and west to Texas. The fisheries offer every major black bass species — Florida bass, largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, and spotted bass. The diversity of fisheries, fish, and seasons ensures that it will be an unequalled test of the best.

"We look forward to working with the anglers who are ready to test themselves under the very highest standards of tournament competition, tradition, and integrity,” Fuller added. “We anticipate the return of many anglers who have fished with us and become like family, and we’re excited to add new anglers who will help us grow better and stronger. There’s no better time to join the NPFL."

Applicants must commit to a locked field and agree to participate in all six regular-season events. This ensures a committed group of anglers for the entire season. Choosing the right anglers for the field is critical to the NPFL’s mission.

“We take our selection process very seriously,” Fuller said. “I interview each angler before they’re selected. No one is automatically accepted into the league just because they have an impressive tournament résumé or a lot of sponsors. The sooner an angler applies, the sooner we can complete our vetting process. We’re not simply looking for excellent anglers. We want excellent people who are passionate about the sport and who share our commitment and vision. If an angler can’t meet our standards, there are other places to fish.”
